FAQ
TFP connects to Shopify through an API, which allows the platform to securely access the data needed to power a seamless resale experience for both brands and their customers.
Product catalog
Products from your Shopify store are available during the listing flow and appear as "Other [Brand Name] Items," making it easy for sellers to select the correct item.
Order history
Customers can create a TFP account using the same email they used on your main store. Their past purchases will automatically appear, allowing them to list items quickly. If a customer uses a different email, they can still retrieve their order history by entering their email or phone number together with their order confirmation number.
Product descriptions
Once a resale listing is approved, the live listing automatically includes a collapsible product description pulled directly from Shopify.
Stock images
When an item is listed for resale, existing product images from Shopify are surfaced so sellers can choose which photos appear on their listing after approval.
Pricing
TFP automatically pulls the highest historical price of a product and sets it as the original retail price. Sellers can adjust this if they purchased the item at a lower price.
Deleted products
If a product has been removed from Shopify, it will not appear in the resale catalog. In this case, sellers can use the "Can't find your item?" option to manually upload product details and images, which will then appear on the resale site.
